OUR TECHNOLOGY
OCT
An Optical Coherence Tomography scan is the latest advancement in imaging technology. Within 3 seconds, the OCT takes over 30,000 scans of the back of the eye and produces a 3D image of the retina and optic nerve. This scan allows our doctors to view the structural layers of the back of the eye.
OCT is useful in diagnosing many eye conditions, including age related macular degeneration and glaucoma.
FUNDUS PHOTOGRAPHY
A fundus photo involves capturing a picture of the back of your eye. This technology is used in both normal and abnormal circumstances. Our doctors use this image as a baseline in which all future images are compared, in addition to using the image to monitor the progression of certain eye condition.
VISUAL FIELD TEST
Many eye conditions cause a loss in one's visual field. The visual field test is a subjective measure of central and peripheral vision which allows our doctors to diagnose, determine the severity of, and monitor certain eye diseases.
